Press release: Burlington County Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi and Lumberton Police Chief Anthony DiLoreto today asked the public to assist investigators who are seeking to locate a Lumberton woman who disappeared on January 18 from her residence on Route 38. Angelina “Angel” Cocuzza, age 61, resided at the Lumberton Independent Living campus on Route 38 near Madison Avenue in Lumberton. The length of time she has been missing and the pending winter storm have led to an intensified effort to locate Angelina. Family members and law enforcement officials believe she may have intended to harm herself after leaving her residence. She is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs approximately 115 pounds. She suffers from depression as well as other medical conditions which place her in jeopardy. She does not own a car or a cell phone. She is not believed to be able to travel too far without assistance. She may have cut her hair very short. The picture accompanying this release is approximately 15 years old. “Somebody out there might possess information that could lead us to Angelina,” Prosecutor Bernardi said. “If you believe you have useful knowledge, we want to talk to you immediately.”
